MAW Montly Meeting: June

  • 04 Jun 2019
  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Kensington Park Library: 4201 Knowles Ave, Kensington, MD 20895

For June, we're going to have two presentations instead of just one.  That's twice as many reasons to come join us.

In the first half, Program Chair Tom McCoy will present the history and lore of a fungus that's had an enormous impact on human history, Claviceps purpurea, otherwise known as Ergot.  Then, in the second half, we're going to take a long virtual trip to the bottom of the Western Hemisphere as Ilan Segal shares with us his fungal adventures from the Southern Cone; home to Argentinian tango, dulce de leche, gauchos, churrasco and lots of fascinating fungi.

¡Viva El Hongo!
