MAW Montly Meeting: November

  • 06 Nov 2018
  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Kensington Park Library: 4201 Knowles Ave, Kensington, MD 20895

For November's monthly meeting, we're going to take a little trip through some of the historical and cultural usage of (drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrum-roll please) ... psychedelic mushrooms.  Yep, that's right, we're talking about 'shrooms this month, so come on out and join us as we learn a little bit about how to achieve nirvana via the fifth kingdom.

Regardless of your prediliction for the subject matter, this talk is sure to be a lot of fun as Allan Badiner, author of 'Zig Zag Zen: Buddism and Psychedelics' and a handful of other works, will be our lecturer.  The official name of his talk is 'A Personal Experience with Psychedelic Mushrooms; Touching on Their History and Usage in Various Cultures', but in my own mind, I've been calling it 'How 'shrooms changed the world.'  Enjoy.

The mind is everything.  What you think, you become.
